Moto G vs Moto G Power (2026): what the specifications tell you
Reference information checked November 4, 2026. This guide uses Motorola's official US product pages. It is a specification comparison, not a hands-on review, battery test or confirmation that a marketplace listing is the same regional model.
Start with the US reference configuration
| Feature | Moto G (2026) | Moto G Power (2026) |
|---|---|---|
| Display size | 6.7 inches | 6.8 inches |
| Physical RAM | 4 GB | 8 GB |
| Typical battery capacity | 5,200 mAh | 5,200 mAh |
| Launch software | Android 16 | Android 16 |
| Processor checked in this catalogue | Not yet verified | MediaTek Dimensity 6300 |
The Power name does not mean a larger battery here
The two reference phones have the same stated 5,200 mAh typical capacity. Do not infer a longer measured runtime from the Power name. A larger display, software settings, cellular reception and the applications you run can change energy use even when capacities match. We have not measured how long either phone lasts in real use.
Typical capacity is a manufacturer's representative figure, not a guarantee that every battery has exactly that capacity. For an older or pre-owned listing, battery condition is another question to ask the seller. Check charging protocol, adapter requirements and box contents separately; equal capacity does not establish equal charging speed.
The physical-memory difference is clearer
The Moto G reference page describes 4 GB of memory. The Moto G Power reference page distinguishes 8 GB of physical RAM from optional RAM Boost. RAM Boost borrows storage; it does not convert the phone into a device with that much physical memory. If your use involves switching among several demanding apps, the difference is worth considering, but it is not a performance benchmark.
Keep a seller's storage figure separate from its RAM figure. A title containing both 8 GB and 128 GB can refer to two different components. The catalogue does not fill unknown listing-specific specifications merely because a seller uses the same model name. If a filter omits a listing, its missing data may be the reason.
A small screen-size difference still needs context
The Power's display is 0.1 inch larger diagonally. That alone does not establish better resolution, brightness or viewing quality. Compare the complete manufacturer specifications and physical dimensions before choosing, especially if one-handed use, pocket size or a particular accessibility setting matters. Our table does not imply the panels are otherwise identical.
Check software and the exact variant
Both reference pages describe Android 16 at launch. That is not proof of the software currently installed on a seller's unit or a claim about future update dates. Consult Motorola's model-specific support information. We have not independently verified the complete update commitment for these listings.
A seller describing a device as made for the US provides a clue, not carrier certification. Ask for the model number and check it with your carrier's official compatibility tool. Do not assume that an international Moto G listing matches the US reference phone's memory, network bands, warranty or SIM configuration.
Make the purchase comparison at the seller level
After choosing the configuration you want, compare exact condition, storage, seller identity, delivery and returns. Check whether a price requires activation, membership, installments or a trade-in. Historical references and unverified observations in this catalogue do not guarantee a current purchase price. A price shown for an out-of-stock item is not an available offer.
Open the catalogue, filter for Motorola, expand the model and select the exact listings you want to compare. Use the floating comparison button without returning to the top. Read our data method if a field or price label is unclear.
